Day 1 San Diego

On day 1 we visited San Diego Zoo, Balboa park, downtown san diego including the embarcadero. We finished our night on the Coronado Island before eating the El Indio which is famous for tachitos (they actually invented tachitos)

Day 2 - Laguna and Huntington beach

On day 2 we left San Diego and we headed for Laguna beach, nice beaches and amazing people...bistros are excellent. After this we headed to Huntington beach known as the capital of surfing(we were not there for the big waves at 4h30 am)

Day 3 - Huntington | Santa Monica | Malibu

On day 3, we started our day in Huntington but we soon headed to Santa Monica and Malibu.

Day 4 Part 1 - Hollywood and Rodeo Drive

On day 4 we started in Hollywood in the morning...we did not get to see a stars!!!

After we headed to Rodeo Drive...shopping shopping shopping.

Day 4 Part 2 - The Getty Center

Well this is one of our highlight in our vacation. Visiting the Getty Center is really amazing...the architecture and the design are simply phenomenal. Enjoy!

Day 5 - Warner brothers and downtown LA

On day 5, we started our day at the Warner Brothers production studios...great excursion! We then headed to downtown LA where we visited the Walt Disney Music concert Hall...what an amazing design. Still in downtown, we passed by the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels which is a pretty modern church. We finished our day at the Union Station(train station). enjoy!

Day 6 - Paramount - Getty Villa - Malibu beach

On day 6, we started our day near the Hollywood sign where saw a tiny portion of the shooting of the movie "Valentine's day" which should come out in 2010. After this, we visited the Paramount studios. We saw a few interesting sets there and a accident shooting for a show called Three Rivers. Just before the end of the day, we went to the Getty Villa and ended up at the Malibu beach. Enjoy!

Day 7 - The drive to San Francisco - Hearst Castle - Carmel

Well on day 7, we left LA to drive to San Francisco. While driving to San Francisco we stopped at Hearst Castle, a few vista points and Carmel by the Sea.

Day 8 - Our first day in San Francisco

Well San Francisco is a beautiful city but a bit chilly so on the first day we decided to start with getting Ines warmer clothes at Macy's. Then we walked a little in Union square...China Town. Our first visit was at the Cable Car Museum...pretty nifty! In the afternoon, we decided to rent bikes and ride along the shore....but Ines was a little tired! Anyhow took lots of photos of the Golden Gate....lots of angles... you choose your favorite! Enjoy

Day 9 - Our second day in SF

On our second day we started with Golden Gate park where we visited the CA academy of sciences. After the park visit, we hate at this great place called "The Cliff house"...pretty amazing steak for a fish house. After lunch, we headed to Alamo square famous for the view on the Victorian houses and downtown. After this, due to a better sky condition, we headed back to GG bridge...and guess what took many many other photos. Enjoy!

Day 10 - SFMOMA and Alcatraz Day

On day 10, we started with the Museum of Modern Arts of San Francisco...galleries were amazing. Then we walked across downtown and headed to the ferry building(Pier 1) and walked a good part of the Embarcadero going from Pier 1 to Pier 39. In the afternoon, we visited Alcatraz...it was a very cool visit...very constructive. I took some photos of some good stories! After Alctatraz, we visited north beach(little italy) and ate there too...was very good! At night, I wanted to capture some shots and we went to this place called Treasure Island which is accessible by the bay bridge. Enjoy!

Day 11 - 17 mile drive - Carmel by the sea

On day 11, we decided to drive a little so we drove the 17 mile mile drive (approx 2 hours south of SF). During this 17 mile drive you get to see magnificent views and amazing golf courses. Golf courses like Poppy hills and Pebble Beach...Pebble beach is actually hosting the 2010 US Open. After the drive we stopped at Carmel (which is a few minutes away from the 17 mile drive gate). Carmel is beautiful and shopping is fun!

Day 12 - Our last day

On our last day, we started with all the shopping for gifts! After this we headed to the Galleria where on every Thursday, the host the farmers market...food was great as we ate fresh bread and cheese.

In the afternoon, we went to the AT&T park where the San Francisco Giants play baseball...pretty nice especially that it's besides the ocean!

In order to rest a little on our last day, we decided to spend some time at the Yerba Buena "Piazza"...people gatter there to rest and just lie down on the grass.

To finish up, we visited the palace of fine arts and then headed to Pier 39.
