Behind a wedding, there is always a great story to be told. This particular Montreal Old Port Wedding is somehow special and proves the power of love. It all started in the summer of 2006 when Jeanne and Jonathan met. That same year Jeanne left Montreal to go study in Quebec city for one year. After coming back to Montreal, she left for two years in order to pursue her masters degree in Ontario. She came back in Montreal but one year later, Jeanne found a job in Ottawa and this went on until their wedding.
Jonathan recently found a job in Ottawa and they are now reunited in their lovely new home! Whats fascinating through this story is the effort they each made to spend time together almost every week-end to keep they love for one another alive. The distance for them was not an obstacle, really amazing. So after nine years, they decided to tie the knot in the Montreal Old Port and I was the lucky one to document their beautiful wedding.
The wedding day was as amazing as their story. The ceremony was held at Church Sainte-Famille in Boucherville, we then headed to Montreal Old Port where we had a blast with friends and family. We expected rain for the whole day, but in the end, it rained late at night while we were having fun inside Vieux Port Steak House.
I hope you get to enjoy this Montreal Old Port Wedding as much as I did.
Earlier this year I photographed their engagement session. You can also view Jeanne and Jonathan’s engagement blog post here.
